The Poetry of Car Mechanics

Fifteen-year-old Dylan feels isolated in his small town. His mother is absent and unpredictable, and he worries that he disappoints the grandfather who is raising him. Behind his grandfather’s auto shop, Dylan finds quiet in the woods through birdwatching and writing poetry. When he rescues an injured hawk, Dylan undertakes the effort to repair its wing.
