The Octopus Scientists

This book follows five researchers studying octopuses near Moorea, close to Tahiti. Led by psychologist Jennifer Mather, the team investigates how octopuses think, solve problems, and develop distinct personalities. The researchers must first find animals that camouflage themselves effectively, then observe and record their behavior. The account also introduces aspects of octopus biology and documents the setbacks and successes of field research.
