The Monarchs of Winghaven

Samantha, a young naturalist, keeps detailed notes and drawings about Winghaven, an abandoned suburban lot where wildlife thrives. When Bram arrives with a camera, she worries that he will expose the place. The two preteen naturalists bond while observing and documenting the field and pond's flora and fauna, including butterflies. Their secret wilderness faces possible destruction. Nature drawings, a map, and extensive back matter accompany the story.
