The Golem of Prague

Drawn from Jewish folklore, this tale takes place in sixteenth-century Prague, where Jewish people are persecuted. Rabbi Loew, known as the Maharal of Prague, creates a powerful being from clay to protect the city’s Jews. The story also follows a young boy who becomes a guardian. Its account combines the legend of the Golem with the community’s danger and need for protection.
