The Girl with the Parrot on Her Head

After her best friend Simon moves away, Isabel is angry, lonely, and scared. With only her parrot for company, she decides that being alone is preferable. Then she meets Chester, a boy who uses umbrellas and tape in distinctive ways. When Isabel encounters another problem, Chester may be able to help her. The story follows Isabel through the loss of a friend and the possibility of making a new one.
