The Girl in the Castle

Hannah Doe is brought to Belman Psych while insisting that she is Hannah Dory, a girl living in 1347. In the world she believes she inhabits, Hannah’s village faces starvation during a brutal winter. Considered to be experiencing hallucinations and delusions, she eventually confronts the source of those beliefs. The story moves between psychiatric care and Hannah’s vision of fourteenth-century life.
