The Button War: A Tale of the Great War

During the First World War, Patryk and his friends in a small Polish village create dares to show themselves brave, although some challenges hurt people. Russian and German forces invade Poland, and a bomb strikes the boys’ schoolhouse. War abruptly becomes part of their daily lives. The boys’ contest goes on, driven by their need to prove themselves through a simple dare, and its outcome is tragic.
