The Boy, the Cloud and the Very Tall Tale

At eleven, Ewan sets out to find his father, who disappeared two years after Ewan’s mother died. Once timid, he travels through 1920s Newfoundland, encountering imaginative characters as he searches. His journey is tied to grief and to finding personal strength. The book also addresses children’s and adults’ grief and the possibility of forgiving flawed people who love them. Black-and-white illustrations accompany the narrative.
