The Best Friend Battle (Sylvie Scruggs series)

Sylvie Scruggs dislikes Georgie Diaz, who calls her Scruggs, beats her at baseball, and leaves her out of his party. When Georgie gives Sylvie’s best friend Miranda Tan a special birthday present, Sylvie fears he is taking Miranda away. She responds by devising increasingly elaborate plans, including a gift she intends to make much better. Sylvie’s efforts grow from her determination to hold on to Miranda.
