The Agony House

Denise Farber moves with her mother and stepfather to New Orleans, where they are restoring an old house as a bed-and-breakfast. The work brings hazards: floors collapse, dangerous objects fall, and Denise hears unsettling voices. While the family repairs the dilapidated building, Denise discovers an unfinished comic book from the 1950s. Its faint blue panels appear to anticipate strange and threatening events at the house. Pages from the comic are woven into the story.
