Stand Up, Yumi Chung!

Eleven-year-old Yumi Chung wants to perform stand-up comedy and fills a notebook with embarrassing memories she has reshaped into jokes. Instead, she is enrolled in summer test-prep tutoring for a private-school scholarship while her family’s Korean barbecue restaurant faces hardship. After class one day, Yumi enters a children’s comedy camp and is mistaken for an absent student. She decides to take that student’s place, creating a double life and a choice between honesty and pursuing comedy.
