Ink-and-watercolor art uses contemporary and historical examples involving voting rights, child labor, environmental concerns, LGBTQ people, disability, migrant farmworkers, and Black Lives Matter. Images also reference Colin Kaepernick, the Newsies Strike, and the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Endnotes identify movements, marches, and figures shown in the art.
