Sharing Shalom

Leila enjoys Hebrew school, the stories she hears there, and the connection learning Hebrew gives her to earlier generations. Her Jewish identity feels like an important part of her story. After her synagogue is vandalized, however, something that once made Leila feel special instead makes her feel set apart. The book follows her community as its members come together in response to intolerance and work to restore hope.
