Rock

On a beach, a seagull tries to eat a small rock and reacts angrily when it discovers the object is not food. The bird mocks the rock, arguing that it is only a pebble or stone and predicting it will be worn away. The rock simply identifies itself as a rock. Later, a child playing at the shore notices something beautiful in it and incorporates it into a creation in the sand, offering a very different response to the seagull’s taunts.
