Rana Joon and the One and Only Now

In the San Fernando Valley in 1996, Rana Joon approaches high school graduation while struggling with her sexuality. She also faces the expectations of her Iranian family and grief after her best friend’s death. Rana loves Tupac, smokes weed, and keeps private that she likes girls. These pressures converge as she moves toward graduation and tries to live with loss, family expectations, and her own identity.
