Patina (Track series)

Patina, known as Patty, is an African American tween who runs for her middle-school track team. She has a fast running style and competes alongside three teammates from very different backgrounds. Their differences can cause clashes, though the team could qualify for the Junior Olympics if the runners work together. Patty also faces taunts at her new school and challenges within her close-knit extended family after she and her younger sister stop living with their mother.
