Papá gives him the responsibility of filling a large water jug, explaining that it is also a magical clock: when it is empty, the workday is over. Jesús shares the water with himself, Papá, cats, a dog, and peacocks, so it runs out early. When he announces it is time to go home, Papá explains that the jug is not truly magic.
