Outlaws of Time: The Legend of Sam Miracle

Sam is a foster child with two damaged arms who escapes into dreams. In the first book of the series, he discovers that he can bend and shift time through an ability called time walking. At twelve, Sam faces a frightening transformation in which his arms are replaced by snakes, encounters enemy vultures, and confronts danger involving his sister. Black-and-white drawings accompany this story of time-bending peril.
