Fifteen-year-old Plum sees herself as lacking the sparkle of her older sister, Ginny. The sisters’ differences often put them at odds, and Plum has long treated herself as Ginny’s sidekick. When their family’s finances falter, upheaval at home creates new distance between them. As Plum’s life begins to include something beyond her sister’s drama, she gradually steps away from that supporting role and begins to recognize her own possibilities.
