Only a Monster

Joan, who is Malaysian British, discovers that she is half monster. She can travel through time by taking time from humans, blurring the distinction between monsters and heroes. Her situation becomes more dangerous because the person she has feelings for is a legendary hero whose purpose is to kill monsters. The story places Joan’s new understanding of herself beside a conflict that threatens her and others like her.
