One Time

Eleven-year-old Gina Filomena has been told that her imagination is overactive. At school, she and her classmates wrestle with the question of who they are. Their imaginative teacher introduces writing exercises that prompt the students to define their own worlds and reconsider their relationships. Gina’s class becomes a place where writing and imagination shape how students understand themselves and one another.
