ONE LITTLE LOT: THE 1-2-3s OF AN URBAN GARDEN

This counting book follows an urban neighborhood as it works from one through ten to clean an abandoned lot and turn it into a community vegetable garden. Inspired by Minneapolis’s Soo Line Community Garden, the story focuses on collective action. The finished garden benefits people, plants, the city, and honeybees, and the book includes information on making a small lot bee-friendly.
