Numenia and the Hurricane: Inspired by a True Story

While migrating south, a small bird is caught in a hurricane and struggles through the storm to return to her family. The story centers on the bird’s determined passage through dangerous weather during migration. Traditional and digital media are combined in the illustrations. Its plot joins a family reunion with a journey interrupted by a hurricane, following the bird as she continues toward the relatives from whom she has been separated.
