In a busy Japanese city, children watch noodle deliverymen cycle through the streets with stacks of soup bowls and soba boxes balanced on one shoulder. The children run alongside them and pretend to be delivery workers, but their own bowls of water tumble to the ground. At day’s end, the children eat noodles delivered by their father, who is one of the riders. The story follows the specialized work of bicycle noodle delivery and the family meal that follows.
