No Matter the Distance

Eleven-year-old Penny Rooney has cystic fibrosis and regularly completes breathing treatments to help her lungs work. She struggles to understand who she is well enough to write a school poem about herself. During spring break, Penny finds a dolphin in the creek behind her house, far from its home. She forms a close bond with the ailing, stranded animal and tries to help it.
