Nainai's Mountain

A Taiwanese-American girl makes her first trip from California to Taiwan with her parents and paternal grandmother, Nainai. Uneasy about the long flight, unfamiliar signs, and insects, she begins the visit with worries. Nainai leads her up a favorite mountain, shares memories of life in Taiwan, and helps her see the country differently. At the summit, the girl encounters people who know and remember her grandmother.
