My Beautiful Birds

Sami is a young Syrian refugee whose life is shaped by the Syrian Civil War. Smoke fills the skyline behind him, while wild birds become a source of hope and promise on his journey. The story follows one boy’s refugee experience and his emotional healing, with the birds alongside him. Its images, made with polymer clay, add texture and depth to this account of displacement, conflict, and the hope he finds in the natural world.
