Nine-year-old Roya’s Afghan family has settled into a home in the Netherlands after time at a refugee center and a journey from Afghanistan. Roya asks for a pet, and Mishka, a white dwarf rabbit, joins the household. She tells Mishka about her family’s past and finds comfort in caring for him. Each relative develops a relationship with the rabbit, and the family searches the neighborhood when Mishka escapes his hutch.
