Me and Muhammad Ali

Langston is a young fan of boxing champion and poet Muhammad Ali. Like many children he knows, he follows Ali’s career, and he eventually meets the athlete he admires. Ali’s language, kindness, athletic ability, and skill make an impression on the boy and on his community. The story centers on this encounter between a child and his hero, bringing together boxing, poetry, admiration, and the influence Ali has on people around him.
