Poe, Rice, and Shelley are monster children living in hiding because vigilantes hunt monsters. Poe lost her parents to hunters and protects Rice and Shelley, but her siblings want more than a life spent running away. When they learn about Halloween, they see a chance to appear in public as themselves, scales included. One Halloween night, this unusual found family has an opportunity to leave the shadows and take it.
