Lili Macaroni

Lili Macaroni delights in drawing butterflies, counting stars, and simply being herself. After she begins kindergarten, however, classmates make hurtful comments about her hair, eyes, and laugh. Their criticism of her appearance leaves Lili sad. In response, she devises her own unusual way to send those sorrows away. The story contrasts Lili's earlier confidence with the impact of her classmates' remarks and follows the solution she creates for herself.
