Leif’s Journey

Set in Minnesota in 1881, the story follows Leif, whose older siblings have left home and who remains to work the family farm. He loves life on remote Crane Creek, but his immigrant father is harsh, demanding, and humiliating. With help from his sister and sweetheart, Leif tries to come to terms with his father and preserve the farm. The novel centers on family conflict, rural life, and an immigrant household.
