Kasey & Ivy

Twelve-year-old Kasey spends an unexpected month in a local hospital’s geriatric ward because of a rare bone-disease infection. She writes twenty-six letters to her friend Nina, recording her impressions and observations from the ward, often humorously. During her stay, Kasey forms unusual friendships. The condition is treatable, though rare, and Kasey calls it “osteo-something-something-itis.”
