Jude Banks, Superhero

Twelve-year-old Jude loses his beloved sister, Katie, who dies suddenly without a goodbye. Jude and his parents are overwhelmed by grief. He remembers Katie as the person who taught him to say “I love you” in many languages, gave dramatic readings from Romeo and Juliet, and called him “Jude Banks, Superhero.” Jude also carries a painful secret: he believes he caused Katie’s death. The novel follows his guilt and loss after her death.
