Jayden’s Impossible Garden

Jayden notices nature throughout his city neighborhood, from squirrels searching for food to cardinals calling and dandelions growing. Some people in his African-American community doubt that nature can exist in the city. With an older friend who uses a wheelchair, Jayden demonstrates otherwise. Together they bring a garden into the neighborhood. The book includes additional activities about its urban-nature subject.
