Jack (Not Jackie)

Susan's younger sibling, Jackie, prefers ties and bugs to dresses and fairies and would rather be called Jack. Susan gradually recognizes that Jack's identity does not change the person she knows on the inside. As the family responds to Jack's wish to be understood as himself, the story follows a sister learning acceptance. It centers on sibling relationships, identity, and recognizing a loved one as they are.
