Daniel Acosta
In 1958, twelve-year-old Manny lives in a multicultural barrio in San Gabriel, ten miles east of Los Angeles. A railroad running along the neighborhood is central to his life and had been a place where he and his friends spent time throwing rocks at passing trains. Manny, also called Manuel, and his friends find a corpse. They then encounter a corrupt police officer.
