Internment

In a future United States, the president authorizes exclusion laws targeting Muslims, and Layla Amin’s family is sent to an internment camp. The family is taken from its home after Layla’s name appears on a registry. Inside the camp, Layla chooses resistance rather than silence. Her story follows a seventeen-year-old confronting state persecution and the forced relocation of Muslim American citizens while seeking to challenge the system that confines them.
