I’M A UNICORN
Helen Yoon
A young calf with a single horn insists that they are a unicorn. The calf builds the case from the words in the name: “uni” means one and “corn” means horn. A baby photograph, showing that the calf was born with one horn, becomes further evidence for that claim. The premise is presented as a comic disagreement driven by the calf’s determined logic and self-definition.
