If These Wings Could Fly

Seventeen-year-old Leighton Barnes lives in Auburn, Pennsylvania, where tens of thousands of crows have become a town-wide problem. For Leighton, the birds are different from what they are to everyone else. At home, she tries to protect her sisters and mother from her father's domestic abuse, even as she longs to escape herself. The novel joins a family living under violence with the unsettling presence of crows throughout Leighton's town.
