I Don’t Want to Be a Frog
Dev Petty
A young frog is unhappy being wet and slimy and wishes he were a different animal, especially one that seems cute and warm. He talks with an adult frog about this dissatisfaction. When a hungry wolf appears but dislikes eating frogs, the young frog reconsiders his wish to change and discovers advantages in being a frog. The story is presented as a humorous dialogue with mixed-media illustrations.
