Before sunrise, a father and child prepare for a day away from the city. After breakfast, they pack the car and travel into the wilderness to hike together. Their route includes a creek crossed on a single-log bridge and a steep climb. Along the way, they pause to watch an eagle and plant a small tree. The nearly wordless story follows their shared outdoor adventure, ending at home as they add a selfie to a family scrapbook beside photographs of earlier father-and-child hikers.
