Gooseberry

B is a foster child with questions about their name, how long they will remain with a family, and what to do with overwhelming feelings. After moving among foster families for years, B wants to feel at home and hopes to become a dog trainer. Adopting and training a dog named Gooseberry seems like the answer, but B must also learn whether they can trust their new moms and keep Gooseberry. The story follows B’s search for stability, connection, and a place to belong.
