Good Dog, McTavish (McTavish Stories series)

When Ma Peachey steps away from mothering to practice yoga, the Peachey household falls into disorder. Meals go uncooked, laundry is neglected, the children run late for school, and family members argue. Pa Peachey and the teenage children are unsure how to manage, but eight-year-old Betty recognizes the problem. McTavish, a rescue mutt, joins Betty in helping the family establish a more workable home life.
