Gloom Town

Twelve-year-old Rory takes a job at Foxglove Manor in his gloomy seaside town because he and his mother need money. Its owner, Lord Foxglove, proves strange, unpleasant, and not human. Rory discovers that Foxglove is trying to steal the townspeople’s shadows. As valet at the manor, Rory faces danger and joins his friend Izzy in trying to recover the stolen shadows. The work that seemed necessary for his family becomes an adventure with a sinister threat to the town.
