Eighteen-year-old Charity is a fairy godmother at Jack London High School. Rather than carrying a wand or dressing like a storybook figure, she works to grant the students’ deepest wishes. Charity enjoys helping wishes come true, but she begins to question whether the resulting happy endings are as successful as she assumes. The story places a magical fairy godmother in a high-school setting and considers the unexpected outcomes of fulfilling desires.
