Folk and Fairy Tales *Snow White

This retelling places Snow White in New York City as the Roaring Twenties give way to the Great Depression. Samantha White returns after years away from the stepmother known as the Queen of the Follies. Her father, the King of Wall Street, survives the market crash but then dies suddenly. Seven street children become Samantha’s protectors, while a mysterious stock ticker exerts power over her stepmother. Pencil, ink, and watercolor art accompanies the reimagined fairy tale.
