FLYING THROUGH WATER

Sena values his rural life in Ghana, where he plays soccer, helps on his family’s farm, and works to do well at school. At the same time, poverty makes his family’s security uncertain. When human traffickers trap him, Sena must draw on the survival knowledge his grandfather taught him as he tries to escape. The novel places his struggle for safety alongside the life, work, and family connections he treasures.
