Finding Spring

Maurice is a young bear who wants to see spring for the first time. His mother tells him that he must first hibernate through winter, but Maurice leaves their warm den to seek spring himself. He asks his friends for help during his search and believes he has found what he seeks. The book considers what spring means to a bear whose family sleeps through the winter and uses earthy paper-cut collages.
