Fighter in the Woods: The True Story of a Jewish Girl who Joined the Partisans in World War II

This true story centers on Celia, a Jewish girl living in Nazi-occupied Poland during World War II. Her ordinary life is destroyed as the Nazi campaign against Jewish people reaches her community. Celia faces starvation, forced labor in ghettos, hiding, and the loss of much of her family. After escaping into the forest, she joins Soviet partisans fighting the Nazis and is assigned to help destroy a cache of Nazi weapons.
